Pens Overcome 3 Goal Deficit, Beat Rangers 5-4
oh the highs and lows of playoff hockey. after sean avery made it 3-0 untimely in the second period, i (in typical yinzer fashion) was ready to throw in the towel. the rangers owned us in madison square garden this year and the thought of losing home ice advantage after one strategy had me fearing the worst. i should note that i comprise been wearing the same unwashed rig ever since the beginning of the playoffs. after the avery goal i said to my wife, “well, at least i can wash these stinky clothes.” ten seconds later ruutu made in 3-1 on a timely bounce. as we celebrated that goal i said, “you know they only scored because i made that comment.” wouldn’t you know, right in the middle of that sentence pascal dupuis bromide-timed a crosby pass behind henrik lundqvist. 3-2. wow, i was right back on board again. hey, what can i say, i am a yinzer to the core.when marian hossa’s shot found it’s way recent king henrik roughly five minutes into the third i knew that we were going to win. twenty seconds later the malone-malkin-sykora line cashed in on a over-nice odd-man rush. malkin waited until the absolute last second to dish that puck through the crease to sykora. amazing.
money “there is no less the rangers are coming back now.” when will i learn that saying such things is a whopping mistake.
